Terms of probation
The following are the conditions under which RMS125a@hotmail.com is allowed to edit.
RMS125a@hotmail.com is unblocked after refraining from editing Wikipedia for six months (progress logged here) and then permitted to edit only under the following conditions.
1: He may only edit articles pertaining to theater and film and their associated talk pages, and may not edit any article with connections to The Troubles.
2: He will not make any edits regarding a person's nationality or ethnicity, especially Irish or North Irish.
3: He is permitted to comment on Wikipedia project and policy pages (including RfAs, XfDs etc), with the exception of those connected with The Troubles in any way.
4: He is only permitted to create new articles after posting their prospective title at User:RMS125a@hotmail.com/Articles proposed for creation for consent, vetting and approval.
5: For the three months probation he has a responsibility to avoid the users One Night in Hackney, Big Dunc, Vintagekits, Domer48, Sarah777, CPMcE, Demiurge, Republican Jacobite and any other editor with whom he has been in conflict, including by email.
6: He will not use any obscene, blasphemous, racist, seriously offensive or threatening language (in any language or spelling thereof). This applies to all Wikipedia pages, emails and any form of communication with other editors.
7: There will be no right of appeal or alteration of these rules at any time after commencement.
8: For the three month trial, he will not make any reference or comment anywhere on Wikipedia (including, but not limited to, article, talk, image, user or project space, edit summaries or via links off-site) concerning The Troubles.
9: He will not create or use any sock puppet accounts, or edit in any way, other than as RMS125a@hotmail.com. All preexisting alternative accounts must be disclosed prior to unblocking.
10: When the three month topic ban expires, he will be subject to another three months restrictions under the Troubles Arbcom probation conditions.
11: A mentor will be appointed from the WP community, similar to the Sarah777 case. This mentor should be chosen by the community.
12: If he breaks the terms of these conditions, in any way whatsoever, he will be banned from editing indefinitely.
He has acknowledged these terms publicly, and has them posted for public access. After three months (from October 22, 2008) he is allowed to edit fully and normally, with the exception of a project wide topic ban on The Troubles, which will remain in place for an additional three months. Should he find a page he is editing is notably connected to the Troubles, or be informed as such by an uninvolved editor in good standing, he will withdraw completely from that page.
