E. Hughes (born October 21) is an American poet and studying philosopher.[1] Their first poetry Ankle-Deep in Pacific Water is forthcoming from Haymarket Books in 2024. [2] Their poems have been published in Guernica Magazine, Gulf Coast Magazine, and The Rumpus among others. [3] Hughes is a Cave Canem fellow and was longlisted for the inaugural Granum Foundation Prize [4]--among other merits.
Early Life
[edit]Hughes was born in Redwood City, California and raised in San Jose, California.[5]
Education
[edit]Hughes received their MFA+MA from the Litowitz Creative Writing Program at Northwestern University.[6] Currently, Hughes is pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at Emory University.[7]
