Michael Asare Bediako is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of delivering impactful public and private results. He is the current CEO of Millennium Development Authority, which oversee, manage and implement the Programmes under the Millennium Challenge Account for poverty reduction through economic growth. He is the former CEO of Africa Firm LLC, a multinational alternative asset management company, where he oversees a diverse portfolio of ventures ranging from agribusiness and manufacturing to consulting and community-based initiatives. His leadership at Africa Firm has driven significant growth and success across various industries, showcasing his ability to manage complex business environments.
Michael Asare Bediako’s academic credentials are formidable. He holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he was a Public Service Fellow. He also holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Amsterdam Business School and an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from Maastricht University.
As the CEO of Africa Firm LLC since July 2023, Michael has been responsible for driving the company’s strategic vision. Michael is actively involved in governance and policy advisory. Since 2021, he has served as a non-executive board member of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Advisory Board, contributing to policies that empower Ghanaian youth and support sports development. Additionally, he chairs the Board of the Ghana Heritage Foundation, focusing on community development and policy advocacy for Ghanaians in New England, United States. Michael is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Akuapem Education Trust (AET), the largest private academic endowment fund in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
