Peter Young designed the crown for the 2010 Miss California U.S.A. pageant.[1] Young based the crown design on aspects unique to California.[2] The Hollywood Walk of Fame is represented by a row of stars along the base, as is the ocean in the waves that encompass the heart-shaped center of the crown. Though the crown is a new addition to the pageant, it will be passed down to each new Miss California. Young also has been commissioned by Prince to design a necklace for his muse, Chelsey Rogers, as well as having designed jewelry for red carpet events.
