Saks Potts

[edit]

Saks Potts is a Scandinavian fashion brand established in 2014 by Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts.[1] Cathrine Saks serves as Saks Potts' chief operating officer, wheras Barbara Potts is the creative director. The brand primarily draws inspiration from the Copenhagen lifestyle, and has gained notoriety for its eccentric and vibrant winter coats, deviating from typical scandinavian design characteristics, resulting in products like the Foxy Coat.[2]

The brand has attracted a diverse customer base, including celebrities such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Kendall Jenner and Rihanna.[3][4] While predominantly producing womenswear, Saks Potts also offers products that are unisex. The brand typically presents its collections during Copenhagen Fashion Week, often with guest appearances from associates of the brand, such as Princess Marie-Olympia of Greece and Denmark in 2019[5][6], and Alana Hadid for the Saks Potts spring/summer 2024 show[7]

Saks Potts has received several Elle Style Awards, and been featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.[8][9] In November 2023, the brand was awarded the Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize.[10]

Saks Potts' products are available through various global retailers, including Nordstrom and Ssense.[11] The brand operates a physical store at Bredgade 73, Copenhagen, in the former apothecary associated with the Royal Danish Academy of Surgery.
