Disappearing photos on Wikipedia

[edit]
MORAL: if you don't watch the files you are interested in, they may disappear forever - even the uploader may not be notified
MORAL: Make sure to fully complete the FUR, AND the License info (even if there is no license)
MORAL:Your copyright license may disappear, then your files disappear!
MORAL: even if you state that you took the photo, AND later add the license, your photo may disappear.
  • New Year's Eve notification Gone by Jan. 7. These files included at least one from 2004, identified by uploader as being taken by self. But you (now) need a copyright notice (license) as well.
MORAL: you may have to fight to keep your photos on Wikipedia, no matter how long they've already been there.

OVERALL MORAL - use Commons instead of Wikipedia for photos - and watch what is happening with them.
