First Task, Headings and subheadings

Your first task is a simple one. However, I would like to see just how "wiki-literate" you are. What you need to do is put each uppercase letter as a heading, with each accented character as a subheading, and each lowercase letter as text within each heading/subheading. As an optional parameter, place an internal link to a page that starts with that letter. Any page will do.
Again, I know this is simple, but I need to know what you do and don't know.

Second Task, Internal Links

You second task is to provide internal links to the articles I have given below. For the last article disguise it as something else using the "|" character. One of these will show up as a red link. Find out what is wrong with it and fix it. Optional, add links to each articles talk page. To disguise a link use this format [[Article name|Fake Name]]. Also, while you fixed the noah's ark link, I meant for it to link to the articles talk page. This was supposed to be an application of using the search function here, and even using google to determine what the proper name should be. This isn't a big deal, so I will let it slide. I am logging off for tonight. If you pass, the third task will be waiting for you tommorow, or you can get a headstart by taking a look at YPassed, I must commend you for grabbing the bonus as well.

Third Task, Images

I want you to add four images, each with a caption, to this page. I want one plain image, one with a 3 pixel frame, one as a thumbnail, and one shrunk to 20 pixels.

YThe last one was technically correct, but I'm not sure why the coding didn't take for the size of the frame. For some reason the browser took the 3px and applied it to the picture size instead of the frame.

Application of Knowledge

At the article for George Bush you see an edit summary like this "Removed Slanderous Information-L.Bush" and the userpage shows that this person claims to be Laura Bush, George Bush's husband. The edits themselves took out the enitre section on "Bushisms" (funny words Bush uses, like nucular) and added two sections, one referenced to a book Laura wrote herself, and the other unreferenced. The unreferenced section details how Bush is a very intteligent man, and is a good husband and father. The language of the section suggests that the editor thinks Bush is a good person. When asked about this, User L.Bush replied "How dare you slander my husband! You computer geeks don't know anything about him!".
What you do? What, if anything would you revert? Are there any reportable offenses?

well, for starters, she is violating Point of View and Civility. Although I do not believe that what she deleted should have been there in the first place, what she changed it to was not acceptable. She stated her opinion and told something that belonged on a page about her, not on a page about George Bush. I would tell her these reasons in a Civil manner, along the lines of, "I'm Sorry L.Bush, We cannot take in your opinions, and that good book of yours belongs on your page, not your husbands" If the user continues to add the content, I would contact a local administrator to see If she needs to be told, or blocked. I would also remove the content on "Bushisms" it shouldn't be in an encyclopedia, it deserves to be in a blog. Programmer13 (talk) 23:46, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

YMostly correct answer, however you are assuming the book is written about her. If the book is written about George Bush, or even the entire first family it can be used in a non POV pushing way. Also, the Bushisms are well documented, and used to be part of the main article before it got so big that it needed its own article. I'll have your next task up soon.

Provide inline citations for this statement, and correct any information that can't be properly sourced. Also provide a References section below the statement. It should be fairly easy to find relevant info on google.

Vandalism and Welcoming

There are many tools wikipedians use to patroll vandalism, the most common of which is the Special:Newpages link. There are also some tools to be found that are much more powerful than the "Newpages". I found the one I currently use from User:Lupin. Your task is to find three pages relevant to vandalism, fighting vandalism, or the consequences of vandalism.

When welcoming a new user many templates can be used. The most common is {{welcome}}. You can also use mine at User:Drew R. Smith/Welcome. Your task is to find and welcome three new users, and provide links to prove it.

YGood job. I'm always beaten to it by the admins with the fancy tools. Bots never seem to run at the times I'm vandal hunting...

B-Class

You know most of the things needed to get by in wikipedia now. For your last task before you officially graduate, I would like you to work on getting your article up to a B-class. The criteria for a B-class fish can be found at Wikipedia:Wikiproject Fish. When you think your article qualifies let me know and I'll take a look. You may also want to consider joining a wikiproject. As you may already know, I contribute at WP:EAR. Occasionally we get a particularly tough case, or a case perfect for teaching. I'm going to set up a page where my adoptees can attemt to tackle these problems, without having to worry about the repercussions of giving bad advice.
