Hello! My name is Dan Chavas, I have been an Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Science and Purdue University since 2016. I received my PhD in atmospheric science at MIT in 2013, where my thesis work focused on the physics of tropical cyclone size under the supervision of Prof. Kerry Emanuel. From 2013-2015 I was a post-doc in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University working with Prof. Ning Lin.
