Kathryn Minette Rodden or Kaye Rodden AOM, is the founding member of Barraboo Hills Landcare Group, as well a a board member of Corangamite Catchment Management Authority, awarded a United Nations prize for her Rabbit Action Plan in Victoria, NSW,[1] and was awarded an Order of Australia for "services to conservation" in June 2024.[2]

Career

Rodden graduated from Latrobe University.[3] Rodden works in conservation, sustainbility and landcare in the regional areas of south west Victoria, Australia.[4]

She is a member of Landcare a community-government synthesis model of natural resource management, which involves governance across local community members, to improve and maintain natural resource management of local land, vegetation and water ways. She has been working on developing partnerships amongst local and state government agencies, together with community groups. This collaboration enables "resilient and sustainable communities" which enable restoration of landscapes, including rabbit populations, hydrology of landscapes, as well as repairing and, enhancing natural land resources.

Rodder was also involved in the Management Committee, Geelong Landcare Network from 2019 to 2022, as well as Australian Landcare International from 2013 to 2016. She was the Director of the Australian Agroforestry Foundation, from 2012 to 2015, and Chair of the Otway Agroforestry Network, from the years 2011 to 2015.[5]
