Paul Rosenfeld, Ph.D.

Background

[edit]

Paul Rosenfeld, Ph.D., is a distinguished environmental chemist specializing in chemical fate and transport, air dispersion modeling, risk assessment, and environmental remediation. As a Principal Environmental Chemist and founding partner of Soil Water Air Protection Enterprise (SWAPE), Dr. Rosenfeld has over 25 years of experience in environmental investigations and risk assessments. His work focuses on evaluating the impacts of environmental contaminants on human health, property, and ecological systems. He has testified in over a hundred depositions and provided trial testimony across the United States.

Education

[edit]
  • Ph.D. in Soil Chemistry, University of Washington, 1999. Dissertation: "Characterization, Quantification, and Control of Odor Emissions from Biosolids Application to Forest Soil."
  • M.S. in Environmental Science, University of California, Berkeley, 1995. Thesis: "Economics of Organic Waste Utilization."
  • B.A. in Environmental Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara, 1991. Focus: "Wastewater Treatment and Sustainability."

 - Lecturer (2007–2011)
 - Adjunct Professor (2003–2006)
  • Komex H2O Science: Senior Remediation Scientist (2001–2003)
  • Ogden: Navy Risk Assessor (2000–2001)
  • Bechtel: Navy Risk Assessor (1999–2000)
  • Peace Corps and World Wildlife Fund, St. Kitts, West Indies: Scientist (1991–1993)

Areas of Expertise

[edit]
  • Environmental contaminant fate and transport
  • Risk assessment and remediation
  • Air dispersion modeling
  • Vapor intrusion exposure modeling
  • Assessment of greenhouse gas and odorous emissions
