Dr. Greg Maguire, Ph.D., is the founder and CEO of BioRegenerative Sciences, Inc, a stem cell therapeutics biotech company located in San Diego, California. He is a former professor of neuroscience and ophthalmology at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Maguire has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as grants from the NIH and National Science Foundation to support his research on the nervous system and stem cells. He was formerly an NIH postdoctoral fellow and bioengineer at the University of California, Berkeley, and held faculty posts at the University of Texas and the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. His current studies are focused on developing stem cell-based systems therapeutics1 that utilize the molecules2 and exosomes3 that are released from a variety of types of stem cells. Dr. Maguire has been a strong proponent of the importance of using adult stem cell types for the development of therapeutics.4
