The Stolpersteine in Prague-Staré mӗsto lists the Stolpersteine in the Old Town of Prague (Czech: Staré Město pražské). The quarter is a medieval settlement and the core of the city center. It is now part of Praha 1. Stolpersteine is the German name for stumbling blocks collocated all over Europe by German artist Gunter Demnig. They remember the fate of the Nazi victims being murdered, deported, exiled or driven to suicide.

Generally, the stumbling blocks are posed in front of the building where the victims had their last self chosen residence. The name of the Stolpersteine in Czech is: Kameny zmizelých, stones of the disappeareds.

The list is sortable; the basic order follows the alphabet according to the last name of the victim.

Zusammen mit Leo Mayer entwarf und realisierte er 1933/1934 eine funktionalistische Villa für den Filmproduzenten Josef Auerbach. Sie befindet sich in der Barrandovská 60 in Prag.[1]

Am 21. Oktober 1941 wurde er zusammen mit seiner Frau und seiner Tochter mit dem Transport B, Zug DA 7 (seine Transportnummer war die 409) von Prag ins Ghetto Litzmannstadt (Łódź) deportiert. Ing. Heřman Abeles und seine Familie haben die Shoah nicht überlebt.[2][3]

Oktober 1941 wurde sie zusammen mit ihren Eltern mit dem Transport B, Zug DA 7 (ihre Transportnummer war die 411) von Prag ins Ghetto Litzmannstadt (Łódź) deportiert. Eva Abelesová und ihre Eltern haben die Shoah nicht überlebt.[4][5]

geb. Straussová 		Pařížská 1068/10 Zděnka Abelesová, geborene Straussová, wurde am 12. Mai 1903 in Prag geboren. Ihre Eltern waren František und Eugenie Strauss. Sie war verheiratet mit dem Architekten Heřman Abeles. Das Paar hatte die 1930 geborene Tochter Eva.

Am 21. Oktober 1941 wurde sie zusammen mit ihrem Mann und ihrer Tochter mit dem Transport B, Zug DA 7 (ihre Transportnummer war die 410) von Prag ins Ghetto Litzmannstadt (Łódź) deportiert. Zděnka Abelesová und ihre Familie haben die Shoah nicht überlebt.

Auch Zděnkas Bruder Hanus Strauss wurde 1944 in Dachau ermordet.[6][7][8]

On 22 December 1942, she was deported to Theresienstadt concentration camp by transport Ck. Her transport number was 225 of 1,005. One month later, on 29 January 1943, she was deported to Auschwitz concentration camp by transport Ct. Her transport number was 962 of 1,000. She was murdered there.[15][16]

The Czech Stolperstein project was initiated in 2008 by the Česká unie židovské mládeže (Czech Union of Jewish Youth) and was realized with the patronage of the Mayor of Prague.[17][18]
