Article Evaluation Human Rights in China
- Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you? Yes the article is straight forward and organized with relevant topics. Nothing is distracting.
- Is the article neutral? Are there any claims, or frames, that appear heavily biased toward a particular position? Yes the article is neutral but the content is grim giving the article a stern and dark tone.
- Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented? The social life of the Chinese people is only implied. Due to the restrictions readers are only able to understand luxuries they don't have with no highlights on the ones they do.
- Check a few citations. Do the links work? Does the source support the claims in the article? Yes the citation links works and support the article.
- Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference? Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted? Yes most references are PDF files or other Wikipedia articles that are festered.
- Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added? All is up to date, the only section that could be added is one about the social life of the Chinese people.
- Check out the Talk page of the article. What kinds of conversations, if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic? One topic is similar to mine, as it too want to expand on the rights the Chinese people do have. The dark tone is set because the article leaves this out.
- How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects? It is a class B, it is in four WikiProjects: WikiProject China WikiProject Human rights WikiProject Politics WikiProject Religion / Falun Gong
- How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class? we haven't discussed this topic in class yet. The article is very formal.
