The Shadows We Cast is a 2027 epic crime thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jackson Sterling, based on Sterling's 2020 novel of the same name. The film stars Christian Bale, as Aden "Shiv" Fondren, who is the leader of the gang "South Side Mafia". It focuses on the group's gang war with several gangs in Shreveport and their fight against the law.
