Recovery
[edit]The definition of recovery remains divided and subjective in drug rehabilitation, as there are no set standards for measuring recovery. The Betty Ford Institute defined recovery as: "a voluntarily maintained lifestyle... characterized by sobriety, personal health, and citizenship," [1] while other studies have considered "near abstinence" as a definition. [2] The wide range of meanings complicate the process of choosing the right rehabilitation program.
