TYPES OF DANCES

There are so many incredible dances that Chicago also known as "Chi-Town" has turned into their own style. Everyone has herd of stepping and if you didn't well stepping is a form of movement with the feet. An individual has to have the ability to move their feet to a down beat especially while dancing with a partner. This particular type of dance is usually done at family reunions, gatherings, and events including families. Other dances include juking, bobing, and footworking. Juking is a form of dance when a girl grinds her body on a boy to the rythm of a fast or slow beat. There is also footworking where you move your feet very fast to a fast tempo beat. This dance is usually done in what we call "War Zone" where all thw footworkers who think they are good enough, dance againstb eachother at tye "juke" party. There are also dance teams to represent these dance moves. There are various dance teams such as "Final Destination", "House Arrest 1 & 2", "Final Phaze", asbwell as 'Next Level". Butn these are notn the onlyn dance groups. There are so many to choose from.

WHY WE DANCE

There are many reasons to why we dance. Dancing is a relief of stress and is a way to cool down and just have fun. But there are many people who take this type of dance to the extreme. Dance is a passion from the heart. Even though Chicago is known for the violence, it is also known for the talent with in. Chicago ia a very talented place where lots of big time celebrities has come from. Celebritites like Kanye West, Twista, Common, as well as Da Brat and Bone THugs in Harmony.

HOW ARE THE DANCES CREATED?

These dances are usually taken from different types of dance from the "old" school and is molded into the "new" school. There is a dane that is called the "40's" and is basically done by rotating your knees in and out so that you have a hop motion. This is done numerous times and is always given a twist. These dances are usually created in at a oarty and your in the mood. Once you start to feel the motiona dn the beat, there is no stopping you.

THE TYPE OF MUSIC PLAYED

There are different types of music played in juking or footworking. Most of the time juking andn footworking uses the same type of music unless it a slow juke. Then the music would be a slow tempo song that you can grind to. When it comes down to footowoking, thats when everybody is hopping up ready to see those feet move. DJ's like DJ Chip, Solo, Diamond, Pope, and Nate are only the few amount of DJ's that support this type of dance. The beats of the song that are well known.

PARTS OF CHICAGO WHERE THIS TAKES PLACE

There are many places where these dances take place. Mostly on the Westside as well as the south side. You would usually hear in song tye DJ representing for the "Wild 100's" as well as the "Ickies". They are just basically showing love to those dance lovers who rep for thier part of !!" to let the rest of the people in the party know how they handle thier party business on thier part of town.

Chicago is a really nice place where people should come and learn the dances and also to try the wonderful food, especially at the "TASTE" pf Chicago.
