Brian Benison is an American musical artist. He is known for his work in the music department of various films and television shows, as well as work with artists like Ray Charles, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Quincy Jones, Lady Gaga, Mary J Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Tim McGraw and others.[1] He is also the leader of 5Choir, a Contemporary Christian Music group based in Fort Worth.[2]

Early Life

Benison created music for an aerobics exercise album specially for senior citizens in 1985.[3]

Career in Music

Benison has worked on music for several movies, including "Paris, je t'aime" (2006), "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" (2002), and "Boat Trip" (2002). He has worked as a composer, contributing to the soundtrack and music department of these and other projects.[4]

Benison has worked as a music director, project coordinator, pianist and choir director in the entertainment industry. His credits include roles such as composer, orchestrator, and music preparation for various movies and television shows. Some of Benison's notable works as a composer include:

  • Composing music for the short film "D'Angel Among Us" (1996)
  • Composing scores for several volumes of the "Slapstick Encyclopedia" video series (1998)
  • Providing music for silent films like "Orphans of the Storm" (1921) and "The Affairs of Anatol" (1921)

Fort Worth

In 2008, Benison moved to Fort Worth, TX and began the 5Choir at Saint Andrew Catholic Church. [5] 5Choir has sung at several live events and hosted church retreats.

Other churches Brian has played at in the Fort Worth area include Holy Family, Holy Name, Holy Redeemer, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Marty Leonard Community Chapel, Our Mother of Mercy, Robert Carr Chapel, Saint Andrew, Saint Bartholomew, Saint Catherine of Siena, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Saint Francis Village Catholic Chapel, Saint Maria Goretti, Saint Mary of the Assumption, Saint Rita, University Baptist Church, Holy Trinity Seminary and Nolan High School.
