Correcting errors/gaps in existing pages

[edit]
  • Expansion of ABoK article (in progress)
  • Plait/Braid/Pleat disambiguation thingy (in progress)
  • Angler's loop stub should be expanded (in progress)
  • Trucker's hitch page still needs some work, discussion of (the many) variations in way slipped loop is formed
  • Double figure eight bend should be merged into Flemish bend (and that merged with Figure-of-eight follow through?? Hmmm...)
  • Tugboat hitch has some naming and diagramatic issues, alt name for Capstan hitch, better image
  • Bowline left-handed/Dutch Marine discussion needed (ref #1034 1/2, "distinctly inferior")
  • Ashley's Bend expansion, naming, etc.
  • Klemheist knot needs clarification on whether it's the same as a French prusik/Marchard/etc?

  • Honda knot needs expansion, more precise description for rethreading through second overhand knot
  • Trident loop needs refs regarding climbing use, add unreferenced template after 8 Mar 2007 if no response in talk
  • Noose needs cleanup and discussion of the general term versus specific knots
  • Bight slip knot section needs rewrite/reconsideration

Knot project

[edit]
  • New sections for guidlines:
