Glasgow City of Science is a partnership organisation whose vision is "To work smarter, in partnership, to raise the profile of Glasgow and the West of Scotland as a world-class science destination and leverage science and technology to boost sustainable development and quality of life”.

Its partners include, Glasgow Science Centre, Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Caledonian University, University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow, University of the West of Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. As of 31st March 2015 it has 71 partners.[1]

Hand Hygiene[edit]

On the 19th March 2014, the organisation set a new Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous hand hygiene lesson at multiple venues. 3,089 children from 36 Glasgow primary schools participated in the activity.[2]
