General Hmood Dawi Al Qthami (born October 24, 1945) His full name is Dawi Ibn Hmood Ibn Solyman Ibn Tall'e Al Dahasi Al Qthami Al Otaibi from Jusham Ibn Mu'awiyah ibn Bakr Ibn Hawazin Ibn Mansur Ibn Ikrimah Ibn Khasafah Ibn Qays ʿAylān Ibn Mudar Ibn Nizar Ibn Ma'ad Ibn Adnan. General Hmood is a Saudi Arabian retired General in the Saudi General Directorate of Public Security, a division of the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia. He has acquired a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Administration from King Abdul Aziz University, a Masters degree in Criminology from the University of Colorado, a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Colorado, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Police Science from the University of Colorado.

After his studies, he has conducted extensive research in Genealogy and Criminology and wrote multiple books in Arabic. These Include: The Book of Criminal Investigations, a book that he has written with General Mohammed Al Hilali. This was followed by The Book of Traffic Police. His final book, a marvel in the Genealogy of Arab people, is called North Hejaz (1985).

In English, he wrote A Study of the Use of Computers in Arabic Language(1987), published by University of Colorado.

Life

He completed his elementary, secondary, high school in the city of Ta'if, then enrolled in a Police Academy known as the College of Internal Security in 1964, and then graduated in 1967 with the rank of lieutenant in the General Directorate of Public Security, a division of the Ministry of Interior. He was then promoted to General later on in his life.
