The Phaethon (Ancient Greek: Φαέθων, pronounced [faːé̞θɔːn]) is a fragmentary Greek tragedy by the Athenian dramatist Euripides.

In addition to its status as a play by one the three most prominent dramatists of Greek tragedy, the Phaethon is notable for the circumstances by which much its surviving text has been preserved.
