I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. My research is focused on LiDAR data analysis and segmentation. You can see some of my work on my website. I am very involved with the VTK project, and have created an Examples wiki to ease the learning curve!

I am extremely interested in improving engineering education through harnessing the brain-power of the masses. I have collected my thoughts in a couple of short articles:

http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Improving_Technical_Topics_At_Wikiversity http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Wikiversity:Colloquium#Current_Student_Volunteer_Campaign

I also have a blog where I write about things like this once in a while: http://daviddoria.blogspot.com/

If you see any thing interesting that you would like me to talk about at the conference please let me know at daviddoria+wv@gmail.com. I look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!
