I have been a journalist all my life, and have worked for The Arizona Republic, The (then) Caracas Daily Journal, The Star, ABC News (PrimeTime and 20/20), and too many free-lance projects to go into here without looking like I'm trying to shamelessly plug myself. My life revolves around investigating and reporting hard, factual data. Which, I guess, should make me a decent point-source provider of information and verification to Wikipedia (although I do realize I'm a little late to the party here).

I wrote a book about working as paparazzi in Hollywood, and covering the O.J. Simpson trial: Poison Pen, Dove Books 1997 ISBN 0787109169

I spent nearly three years working on and off, on a project investigating the adult film industry here in L.A., that wound up being the highest-rated episode of PrimeTime in 2003.

My work now revolves around trying to help newspapers and other traditional media make the transition to the internet - and most importantly, how to monetize these new content and audience models. You can see a fair sampling of the work I have done in Chile, Russia, Ukraine, Colombia and elsewhere at the Artesian Media website. The work is not without its challenges. I blog at Sips from the Firehose, so called because there are so many trends and technologies emerging that content producers are being bombarded with, that trying to keep up with them all is like trying to drink from a firehose.
