Kopachuck Middle School is a middle school found in the Peninsula School District founded in 1981, is a middle school that leads into Gig Harbor High School, and is rival schools with Goodman Middle School. It takes kids in from Artondale Elementary and Voyager Elementary. Their mascot is the Coyote.
Athletics
[edit]Soccer There are 3 soccer teams in the School one led by art teacher Steve Gernon, one by P.E. teacher John Rosi and, one by Computer Teacher/P.E. Teacher Jerry Wilson.
Wrestling Steve Gernon is also a wrestling teacher, along with Shop teacher Kelly Bolender and John Rosi.
Track Kopachuck is known for their superior track team, winning all matches but only 1 being played at home.
Lockdown
[edit]A Man was roported with a gun on the street out side of Kopachuck, and fired 3 uzi rounds at the building, and the building entered lockdown, the man was arrested and sent to jail.
THIS NEVER HAPPENED!
Lawsuit
[edit]Kopachuck was sued for use of the mascot Wily coyote in the gym floor, parking lot, yearbooks, and jackets, the School agreed to discontinue use of Wily in the parking lot, and future jackets, but they paid $30,000 to use on yearbooks, and the gym floor, and gained access to a logo on the track/soccer field.
