Ani Alva Helfer (born (1988-09-21)21 September 1988 in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian film director, art director, film producer, and screenwriter. In 2018, she became the highest grossing director in Peru[1] with her feature film Don't Call Me Spinster, winner of that year's Premios Luces [es] award for Best Picture.

Education

Helfer completed her secondary-school studies at a Catholic school in the city of Lima. In 2007 she moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to study Film and Television at the University of Palermo. She she continued her studies at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico City, Mexico.
