I am an editor/producer specializing in residential construction.

I work for Scranton Gillette Communications as founding editor of ProTradeCraft.com. I also have a media consulting company with a handful of clients. I help them set up an editorial strategy and I teach them about content development, audience development, and editorial operations.

I focus primarily on digital media, though I work in print frequently and came into journalism through Fine Homebuilding, a print magazine.

Among other things, I produce an award-winning podcast called 7 Minutes of BS, which is about building science. I sometimes use a Wikipedia page to inform myself on a topic and then clarify difficult-to-understand sections of the Wikipedia page after interviewing an engineer and writing for my non-engineer audience. I may cite the podcast or simply add it to the 'Further Reading' section.
