Daniel Eteng Onen was born In 12th September 1992, into the family of His Highness, late Chief Eteng Onen Eni, the Obol Kepon of Egbizum Community and Late Mrs Sarah Eteng Onen of Nkpani community, all located in Yakurr Local Government of Cross River State, Nigeria. Daniel Eteng started his primary education in 1997 at the St. Joseph Primary School Idomi, and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 2002. He further proceeded for his Secondary education in 2003, at the Community Secondary school Idomi, and later changed to Emmanuel High School Idomi, where he sat for the West Africa Examination council and the National Examination Council and obtained his Secondary school Certificate Examination respectively in 2008. He is a graduate of Enugu State university of Science and technology, B.Sc Biology Education, Second Class honours.

He worked with the Anaecom Global Limited As a marketer on entry level, he later became a team head due to his well organised work Ethics, he was an eye to the company, very committed and diligent to his job, and above all, result oriented. He was later promoted in the company to the rank of a branch manager, he made the best management staff. While a branch manager, he also functioned as an accountant to the branch due to lack of man power. In 2015 he resigned from Amaecom Global Limited to The Royal Exchange Insurance, he held a position of a Unit Manager. He later on moved to Cornerstone Insurance still as a unit Manager, where he managed a team of 20 financial advisers. And was in charge training and recruitment new financial advisers. In 2019 he got an offer from the maiden International Education Rivers State as a Business Development Manager. Maiden International Education is an international language school, it partners with private schools to teach the Students International languages; like Deutsch, Spanish, French, Chinese and more. He was in charge of negotiating for partnership with school.

Daniel Eteng was appointed a member of Community Peace and Conflict Resolution Board Cross River State on 12th August 2022 under the administration of His Excellency, Prof. Benedict Ayade. He was elected Director of Information Idomi Development Association Worldwide on December 2021. He is a member of the YALI NETWORK.
