Abdullah Ilyas Mulla from Pune, India is known as the youngest person to publish a mathematics research paper in the world. Breaking the world record of the legendary American Mathematician, John Milnor. John Milnor’s research paper was published in the year 1956 when John Milnor was 19 years old. Breaking his world record after 67 years, on June 2nd 2023, Abdullah Mulla at the age of 16, published a research article on the topic “Inverse Square Numbers”. This research article is accepted for publication in the peer reviewed “Journal on Research in Applied Mathematics” of quest journals with an impact factor of 5.09 on May 31st 2023. His theory is a great revolution in the field of Numerical Analysis.[1]

Abdullah is a 10th standard student of TATA Motors Employee’s Education Trust’s Vidya Niketan English Medium School, Pimpri, Pune. He has secured 91.60 percent score in the Secondary State board exam. Earlier, at the age of 14, he has been selected for Inspired Awards Manak by the National Innovative Foundation (NIF), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Abdullah had also participated in the Agricultural Development Trust's Science and Innovation Activity Centre, Baramati, Pune as a candidate of the state level science exhibition. He had also received a membership of this innovation activity Centre for one year. Abdullah then got an opportunity to learn remote sensing from the prestigious Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
