Larissa Velez-Jackson
[edit]Larissa Velez-Jackson is a choreographer, multi-genre artist and fitness specialist. She was born and raised in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ. [1] At a very young age she would sing and dance for family members, and when she was three years old her mother enrolled her in dance classes at June McCain School of Dance in Kearny, NJ. As a teen she studied at the New Jersey School of Ballet, Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway.
She is the creator of the "Star Crap Method", which premiered in 2014 at the Chocolate Factory in Williamsburgh, NY. The performance featured Ms. Velez-Jackson, Tyler Ashley and Talya Epstein, lighting designer Kathy Kaufmann, and stage manager Lillie De as the White Shadow who moved the set pieces.
