Damian Rogers is a US-born, Toronto-based poet. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a graduate degree from the Bennington Writing Seminars at Bennington College.
Her first book of poetry, Paper Radio (ECW Press, 2009), included poems inspired by the Shaker movement, a reformist Protestant sect that began in 18th-century England and spread in the United States under the matriarchal leadership of Ann Lee.
Rogers' poems have been published in a variety of North American literary magazines, including The Walrus [1], Maisonneuve [ http://maisonneuve.org/pressroom/article/2009/jun/22/three-poems-damian-rogers/], MoonLit [2], Matrix Magazine [3], and Like Starlings [4].
