Mack has a B.S. from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and a Ph.D. in physiology from Howard University.^[1]

She was a professor of biology at University of Maryland Eastern Shore.^[2]

was project manager for the National Science Foundation's ADVANCE program^[2]

in 2012 became executive director of Project Kaleidoscope^[3] which is a project working to diversify faculty in STEM fields, Mack runs leadership institutes to help underrepresented groups navigate the tenure process^[4]
