Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hosted an emergency meeting with local officials, discussing preparations to ensure no casualties. Holidays were issued for government buildings in the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Khordha, Nayagarh, and Puri. The National Disaster Response Force and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force deployed crews in several Odisha districts, supplied with 17 boats and emergency equipment.[1]
