Danny Nonta Nikas (born September 12, 1969 in Queen Charlotte City/Haida Gwaii</ref>) is a Canadian former rugby union player who played as Hooker.

Career

Danny Nikas was coached by Spence McTavish at Lord Byng High School where he attended from 1982-1987, and where he started his rugby career. He played hooker and he played all his Club Rugby for the U.B.C. Old Boys Ravens in the British Columbia Senior leagues. He played with the UBC Old Boy Ravens that had won the Rounsefell Cup in 1990, 1991, & 1994. In addition he played on several 7 a side championship teams with the UBC Old Boys Ravens throughout the 90's. He was called up in June 1994 to play against Wales in Markham, Ont and as a replacement for the Canada side which hosted Wales in Markham in June, 1994. He toured Argentina & Uruguay on 2 Rugby tours. He played for Canada in Montevideo, against Uruguay, on March 7, 1995. Danny’s other game for his country was three days later, in that same Pan American Rugby Association tournament, in Buenos Aires, against the Pumas. He also represented Canada in the Dubai Sevens in 1994.
