Hi I'm Cynthia and I am a Freshman at Ohio University. I am a new member to Wikipedia. I am in the difficult process of editing the Wikipedia page on Modernization Theory for my Sociology 101 class. Although an economic and sociological storm is going on in my head at the moment, I am enjoying the Cleveland Indians game and hope they can prevail over Boston. I also think that Grady Sizemore is very good-looking and I love baseball. (10/19)

A little history/about me...

I am originally from the great North-west Ohio city of Toledo, well, actually a suburb of Toledo, Perrysburg. During my time in Perrysburg I was a dancer and a competitive dancer all throughout highschool, a softball player and pitcher, a basketball and football cheerleader and an actress in several school plays/musicals. I am currently a French and Theater major, but I might change to a Creative Writing and Theater major with a minor in French and Film. Quite ambitious, I know. I have a wide array of interests, and if I had my way, I would major in : French, Theater, English, Film, Dance, Sociology, Philosophy, Creative Writing, Telecommunications, Journalism, International Studies, Classics, Psychology and possibly some other langauge. As you can see, I like to be very involved. Again, if I had my way I would be a professional film and theater actress, a french/english literature professor, a freelance writer, a journalist for Teen Vogue or Rolling Stone magazine, a professional dancer, a film director/producer and you know.. a sociologist, psychologist, philosopher and eventually study all over Europe.

Well, enough with over-the-top ambitions. Read my edited article on Modernization theory and see how pretentious I really am. I hope you enjoy and give me some advice on how to improve- I'm always up for criticism and I need good grades.
