Cuppa Joe Music



Cuppa Joe Music is the brainchild of Senior Producer/Engineer Joe Macre. Joe composes custom scores for Advertising and Film and the Cuppajoemusic Library, has been the choice of many National and Regional clients. Joe's music career started in high school and proved to be the start of a phenomenal road to success. Joe worked with major recording artists Crack the Sky, The BE Taylor Group and Wild Cherry. After relocating to New York, Joe became a studio musician and performed with artists such as Jim Croce, David Sanborn, Keith Green and the Brecker Brothers. As Joe's career expanded into Recording Engineering and Television, he began scoring and engineering for national clients such as Nationwide, Corona, Hyundai, Ford, Home Depot, Pepsi, Burger King, McDonald's, as well as The Oprah Winfrey program and many more.

In Live Sports, Joe was a Dallas A1/A2 Engineer for college and professional sports. Joe’s National Composing Film credits Include "Monster in Law" with Jane Fonda, "House of D" with Ericah Badu and Robin Williams, "Fire Down Below" with Steven Segal, "About Adam” with Kate Hudson. Award winning Sound Design and mixing of Superbowl commercial “Tabasco Mosquito”. He also served as ADR Director for the Walker Texas Ranger television series for four seasons. Joe has been one of the Southwest's most sought-after Post Production Engineers and Music Producers, having recorded and worked with Ericah Badu, Pantera and Marie Osmond. Recent projects include Crack the Sky’s “The Sale” and “Machine” and King Friday’s “Let the Song Begin” featuring Oliver Wakeman and Andy Timmons.

For the past seven years, Joe has served as an Instructor of Post Production Audio and Music Producing/Composing at Mediatech Institute in Dallas Texas. He also served in the capacity of Director of Career Services, placing students in full-time audio positions, exceeding government and state placement quotas in each graduating class. He was also inducted into the board of directors for SPARS (Society of Professional Audio Recording Services) with Leslie Ann Jones, Audio Director at Skywalker Sound, Kevin Mills at Larrabee West Studios, Tim Butler at Chicago Recording (CRC), Jeff Greenberg at The Village Recorder and Steve Davis at Crawford Communications Atlanta. Joe is an active member of AES and the American Federation of Musicians.
