Mary Klevjord Rothbart (born YEAR in PLACE) is a psychologist and professor known for her research in the fields of developing the usual individual differences in temperament using methods that have ranged from the questionnaire to laboratory observations. Rothbart has developed a parent- and self-report questionnaires for assessing temperament in infancy, childhood, early adolescence, and adulthood. Rothbart has also developed standardized laboratory assessments of temperament, and successfully Rothbart has done extensive laboratory work on the early development of the emotions, activity, and attention
