Luke is the 4th generation of his family from New York and grew up on Long Island. He studied psychology and fine art at Tufts University, and later computer art at the Interactive Telecommunications Program. He had a successful career in advertising which culminated as creative director. In 2010 he returned to NYU for the science required by dental schools.

The Internet

Luke had an email account in 1992. He made his first website for a senior project at Tufts in the spring of 1995. He learned Photoshop working at MIT Media Lab that summer.

Los Angeles

In March of 1995 Luke was introduced to Merv Griffin. Mr Griffin agreed to pass a treatment (the first story featuring Clive Grey) to his neighbor Clint Eastwood. Luke moved to downtown LA for four months during the fall of 1995. However, Griffon was unable to secure Eastwood for the lead character. Griffon's apology

Brooklyn

Undaunted Luke returned to his Long Island homeland, and in the summer of 1996 he moved into Brooklyn.

NYU Masters

He obtained a masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program in 1999. His thesis, an interactive digital video, received an A.

Professor

Immediately upon completion of his masters degree he began teaching interactive design at Pratt Institute.

Art Director

He created many interactive advertisements for DVD and theatrical releases. His work on The Incredibles was recognized at the Ad-Tech awards in 2005.

Creative Director

August of 2007 he was made a creative director at Mammoth Advertising. His work on Dexter won CTAM's Gold Mark Award in 2009.

Martial Arts

During the summer of 2004 he taught Karate at Asphalt Green Day Camp in NYC. In 2006, after 7 years studying GoJu-Te with Sensei A. Diaz Luke earned a black belt. He has also studied Kung-Fu, Hapkido, Tai-Chi, and stick fighting. Twelve years after he began in 1999, Luke stopped attending classes. He continues practicing regularly with sticks, and occasionally performs.

Dentistry

In 2011 Luke was accepted to the post-bac program at NYU. He completed the requirements for Dental School in 2013.

Clive Grey

[edit]

The protagonist of a novel by the same name, written by Luke between 1999 and 2009. Conceived as a low-budget prequel to the screenplay rejected by Eastwood in 1995.

DragonKitty

A graphic novel about the impossible romance between dragon and cat.
