Bearskin Lake is an Oxbow Lake in Lonoke County, Arkansas. It is boardered by the Dortch Plantation, and is located near the town of Scott, Arkansas. It was formed by the Arkansas River when a wide meander was cut off. This process was caused by a number of factors, notably floods, droughts, and human intervention. Bearskin is one of a number of lakes formed by the natural meandering of the Arkansas River, with some other examples being Lake Canton (Arkansas),
