User:Cjaywork
Qualifications
[edit]Cjaywork is an editor of novels, advertisements, and internet content. He holds a BA in philosophy and literature, and has written extensively about philosophy, religion, ethics, society, politics, and art. His strengths are in English language use and critical thinking.
Interests
[edit]He began to use Wikipedia for research circa 2007, and gradually grew interested in contributing as an editor. Until recently, he forewent an account and simply edited articles. He primarily edits philosophy articles.
Vision
[edit]Cjaywork supports Wikipedia's vision of information as a collaborative project, free to all. He believes that in order for the classic liberal project to survive (i.e. democracy, civil rights, free markets), certain public institutions must supercede the markets. These include not only branches of government but also institutions which serve to inform and edify the public, such as libraries, schools, and Wikipedia.
Goal
[edit]Cjaywork hopes to use his skills as an editor to assist the Wikipedia project in becoming more comprehensive, more accurate, and more accessible--both wider and deeper, as it were. He hopes to contribute original content to articles which need them, and to improve the accuracy and coherence of existing material.
