[edit]The End of Aging.[1] was a multimedia exhibition created by Michael Schindhelm at KBH.G in Basel[2], Switzerland which took place from May 3 to July 21 2024 and continues to exist as an immersive website[3]
Premise
[edit]In a world amidst a biotechnological revolution, this project tackles the urgent issue of aging, often hailed as the greatest societal challenge of our era. The exhibition explores the social, economic, and cultural implications of extended longevity. Through a blend of reality and fiction, the exhibition presents short films, dystopian environments reminiscent of science fiction scenography, and intricate soundscapes. Alongside these immersive installations, insights from internationally renowned scientists offer visitors a glimpse into the potential future of biotechnologically supported life extension.
With actors Tabitha Frehner[4], Graham Valentine[5], Jürg Kienberger[6], Urs Baur[7], Hana Motokura[8] and scientists Venki Ramakrishnan, Fiona Marshall, Michael N. Hall, Linda Partridge, Matt Kaeberlein and more.
