Cobraz (Band)

Cobraz is a rock band based in Buffalo New York. Formed in 2021, Cobraz initial lineup included guitarists David Gregoire and Andrew Doviak, and drummer DJ Heim. Later adding singer and songwriter Joel Turner in summer of 2021, and adding guitarist Chris Rossi in June of 2022, Turner departed the from the group in April of 2023.

Cobraz recorded their first singles in mid April of 2022 at Mammoth Recording Studios in Buffalo New York, recording songs Snake Bite, and Asylum. Snake Bite was later released on August 31st of 2022, the cover art was designed by a friend of the groups. and Asylum on March 1st of 2023, the cover art was a photo taken by guitarist Chris Rossi. Cobraz played shows supporting the singles and to prepare for the recording of their first major release, Album “No Guilt for Reputations Killed”

No Guilt for Reputations Killed was recorded at GCR Studios in Buffalo New York over the course of 3 days in June of 2023. With singles Snake Bite and Asylum appearing on the album. Originally, the band was set to record 5 songs, but a sixth song (interlude) was recorded on the second day. The band took inspiration from multiple genres of music, and many different bands. With this the direction of the album fluctuates throughout the listening experience. The album has 8 tracks, and 2 radio studs (bonus tracks). The albums cover was designed as a team by the band, and taken by guitarist Chris Rossi, with a friend of the band being the model for the cover.

Cobraz was selected as a winner for the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame’s Lucille and Jack Yellen foundation. The group selected their two singles Snake Bite and Asylum.
