Section 1

[edit]

Section 1a

[edit]

A. Planetary geology

B. Describes what planetary geology is, when it was officially started, and provides links to the planetary geology of specific planets and natural satellites.

C. Add a video or an audio clip describing what Planetary Geology is.

D. Explains briefly what planetary geology is and other names for it, but seems really short and I feel more information could be included, such as more in detail of how planetary geology is accomplished.

E. Shows a picture of astronauts on the moon collecting samples, a part of planetary geology, however it only has one picture. More pictures would be nice, perhaps pictures taken from the Mars rover.

Section 1b

[edit]

A. Venus

B. Describes the planet Venus, including its orbit, rotation, geology, geography, exploration, study, and usage in human culture.

C. Provide a video of a documentary about Venus.

D. The written communication is well detailed and covers a lot of topics of Venus. However it seemed to me that some of the paragraphs used terminology that would be hard for casual readers to understand without well explaining what it meant, making it so that only a specialist audience would understand it.

E. A good amount of pictures that enhance the written communication part, however I would include some more pictures taken by probes sent to the planet and include pictures of impact craters on Venus.

Section 1c

[edit]

A. Natural satellite

B. It defines natural satellites, explains the different types of natural satellites, and which planets have them and how many.

C. Explain what are the reasons/odds of a planet having a natural satellite or how many, such as why do Mercury and Venus not have a natural satellite? If you are closer to the sun are you less likely to have a natural satellite? Is this similar to other solar systems?

D. Well written and is understandable and useful to both casual readers and specialists. Some of the subsections seemed very short, and I think more info could be found and included in these areas.

E. A lot of pictures, I especially like the visual summary of the solar system moons. Each subsection does not include a picture, which I think it should to provide a visual for what that example of a natural satellite looks like.

Section 2

[edit]

Section 2a

[edit]

A. Plate Tectonics of other planets (other than Earth), understanding of the plate tectonics of the other planets in our solar system.

B. Would be important to the wide view audience to let them know how other planets are different than us, and important for the specialist audience to understand how the formations we see on these other planets form if not through plate tectonics, or if the plate tectonics process is just different.

C. Have an introduction section that mentions the importance of plate tectonics on earth and then mentions how these process are either similar or different on other planets. Then have each section be about the plate tectonics of other planets. Original figures will be drawings of the plate tectonic system of Earth and then the other planets side by side for a visual comparison of the similarities and differences.

Section 2b

[edit]

A. Comparison of Terrestrial Planets, a page that goes over all of the differences and similarities of the terrestrial planets of our solar system (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars).

B. Provides interesting information for the wide audience and provides an easy to access location for the specialist audience to look at all of the similarities and differences between the Terrestrial planets on one page, not having to compare between the 4 different pages of each individual planet.

C. Explain in the intro how all 4 of the terrestrial planets have similarities and differences. Then have 2 major sections one being similarities and one being differences and then have subsections of orbit, rotation, atmosphere, geology, etc. in each section. If there is a similarity between two or more planets it will mentioned in that section and the same for any differences in the differences section. Original figures will be visuals of these similarities and differences, such as the orbit path around the sun to help drive the point of it being similar or different across.
