Chamber of Commerce[3] and is an active community volunteer for the Venice Family Clinic's Annual Art Walk and Auctions[4] to support the clinic's services in the community. She is also a volunteer for the American Heart Association[5]and has congenitall heart disease. Gelling is adept in board development, social media and communications and uses her skillsets to help make positive change[7]. Gelling serves on the host committee for the Los Angeles Green Festival[8] and joins the staff during the festival as a Stage Host. She is a board advisor to Make Music LA, which is affiliated with Fête de la Musique[9], an annual music festival taking place on June 21 in cities around the world. Trivia: Gelling's birthplace of Waukegan was also home to Jack Benny[11] and Ray Bradbury[12]. And, her life began as did Benny's and Bradbury's "surrounded by a loving extended family during his early childhood and formative years in Waukegan" and so it went for the Gelling family... " in a "... small-town world of the American heartland, which was the foundation of his roots." - wrote Bradbury. The surname, Gelling, originates from the Isle of Man.[13]
