If you're starting a new article, you can develop it here until it's ready to go live. If you're working on improvements to an existing article, copy only one section at a time of the article to this sandbox to work on, and be sure to use an edit summary linking to the article you copied from. Do not copy over the entire article. You can find additional instructions here. Remember to save your work regularly using the "Publish page" button. [edit]Psi
[edit]Burst
[edit]Burst is the ability to dominate one's surroundings. This is how external energy, forces, and matter are created and controlled. In essence, humans can channel and manipulate energy or matter in their surroundings. To make PSI waves more tangible, they have external effects, forms, and properties. Burst can take many forms, such as the capacity to move objects with one's mind, control fire or lightning, or manifest as solid objects. Users of the Powerful Burst can wreak havoc on the world around them, destroying or altering it.[1]
Trance
[edit]Trance is the most basic form of PSI's non-tangible applications, such as the ability to influence others' thoughts, information gathering abilities, and communication. It uses ephemeral PSI waves to control one's own or others' thoughts, communicates with others, and expand one's perception with extrasensory knowledge beyond the innate human senses.[2]
Rise
[edit]Rise is the ability that helps users develop their basic human abilities, such as their senses. It is the internal application of PSI to enhance the body's natural functioning and manifest superhuman abilities like great speed, rapid regeneration, and enhanced senses. These attributes can be improved much beyond what the human body can do on its own. There are three types of Rise abilities: Sense, Strength, and Healing.[3]
Hybrid-Psi
[edit]Cure
[edit]Cure is a highly specialized hybrid PSI variant developed by consecutively and simultaneously combining two derivatives of the three main types of PSI. Primarily Burst and Healing-type Rise. Rise techniques are applied, enhancing the body's own inherent healing properties. Unlike other forms, which are used to strengthen only oneself, Burst's regeneration qualities are instead projected outwards. However, because of the skill's complexity, the individual cannot utilize it for healing their physical wounds.
Advanced Psi
[edit]Almighty
[edit]When specific skills are paired with proper training and imagination, all three types of PSI can be simultaneously used. This suggests the PSI user is proficient in Burst and Rise and has a greater Trance level than ordinary telepaths. One major difference between Almighty and the Nova-type is that the Nova-type allows the user to fuse themselves with their PSI.
Nova
[edit]Nova combines the three basic types of PSI, attained through simultaneous intensive training of the three basic types. Nova is a form of PSI that combines the user's PSI energy with their own. Because the user's body becomes raw PSI energy than physical matter, the user becomes an ephemeral being.
Production
[edit]Development
[edit]Growing up Iwashiro was a big fan of the movie Back To The Future. He viewed it again following the conclusion of his previous work Mieru Hito and was influenced to create a story setting centered around time travel. Due to the mystery surrounding the story's setting, Iwashiro made a conscious decision to keep the scenario simple in order to prevent the manga from becoming niche. Due to the weekly nature of the chapters, he wanted to leave the week off with a wonder of what would occur next.[4]
