Evaluate an Article
[edit]- Name of Article: Chocolate bunny
- I am going to do my article on this topic because since I was a kid I have loved chocolate bunnies at Easter and I was surprised to see it had barely any info on the page.
Lead
The intro paragraph is not bad and it does state the main points of the chocolate bunny. There are no sources though. It could use more detail
Content
The article is very bare and could use a lot more information than it has. It also needs sources and I think photos would help a lot. I think it could also be more up to date.

I think that adding more representations and insights into other countries could be interesting.

Organization
The organization is not bad but it could be more appealing if there was more information and photos etc.

I think people have tried adding photos but they were taken down due to copyright issues. Otherwise there is not much on the page.
Overall
The page is very empty and could use a lot more detail since this is a very common traditional food eaten and given out in the US during Easter. Sources also needed to be added and hopefully some noncopyrighted photos as well.

The content in the article is relevant to the topic and is up-to-date as there were edits made this month. I do not see any content that is missing from the brief overview of interpersonal communication. I do not see much regarding the Wikipedia equity gaps.

The article appears to be neutral and provides a scholarly standpoint. Western culture maybe overrepresented and more widely focused on. I do not believe that the article is trying to persuade any positions, but merely trying to educate on communication practices.

The facts seemed to have legitimate sources, however I did notice some of the information was still in need of a citation. The sources are thorough and current and many appear to be accessible to students. There are many sources and authors, mostly from western literature though. The links I clicked did work and brought me to the exact source used.

- Are the sources thorough - i.e. Do they reflect the available literature on the topic?

The article is well-written and gets right to the point without excess or unnecessary detail. I did not notice any spelling errors or any major grammatical issues. The article is very well organized and easy to follow.

The article includes a few images throughout. The images are well captioned and to the point. I am not sure if the images are following copyright law, but they appear to be from open source and possibly free sources. The images are in the same area which makes them more visually appealing.

There is a lot of feedback that keeps the article up-to-date. The article is rated "C-Class." The article goes more in depth to interpersonal communication than we have in class, but still mentions some of the issues and concepts we have talked about and assuming we will touch on.

The article is well written and informational. The article is great for people who are just starting to learn about interpersonal communication and want to understand more about the general ideas. I think the article could have more images to help aid those who like to visual concepts through tables and such. The article is well developed, but since this topic is always being studied I do not think it will ever be fully complete.
