Fengxing Milk Co.(Chinese：风行牛奶 / 風行牛奶) dates back to 1927. Later in 1952, it has set its brand name as “Fengxing” which is recognized as a local dairy company, owning the longest history in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. During its nearly one-hundred years, this company deeply believes in its slogan, “If cows are more near to you, the milk is fresher”("牛在身边，奶更新鲜").

The producing technique is continually improved and innovated to cater for its previous customers and to attract the potential ones. Nowadays, Fengxing has already become a necessary part in Guangzhou dwellers and its culture has integrated into local cultures.

Timeline of Major Events

• In 1927, it became the first company, with the mixture of three properties (husbandry, manufacture, and commercial business) in one comapny.
• In 1968, it had the largest dairy farm in the southern part of China.

  

  Holstein-Friesian milk cow 荷斯坦奶牛

• In 1979, it successfully created the first bottle of set-yoghurt(凝固型酸奶) in Guangdong Province.
• In 1984, a fine breed of cows from Holstein was introduced into Fengxing. This multinational cooperation directly facilitated The Treaty of Sino-American Animal Quarantine.
• Since 1984, it has become the first dairy company to export products to Hong Kong. Up till now, this trans-regional business has lasted for more than thirty years.
• In 1985, European milk testing standard was adopted.
• In 1986, the advanced automatic milking machine from Swiss was firstly imported to China and also, to the company.
• In 1987, it helped to set up a Sino-foreign joint venture, Guangzhou Danone Yoghurt Co. (广州达能酸乳酪有限公司)
• In 1989, it firstly set the antibiotics testing standard.
• In 2000, it made great contribution to enlarge the amount of dairy cows as a large number of Austrian Holstein Cows were introduced.
• In 2001, with the development of E-Technology, the management of farm enters an era of online connection system. (联网时代)
• Since 2002, it has been entitled as “School Milk Co.”(学生奶),which has been qualified as one of the first companies by the local government.
• In 2004, it became the national dairy cow farm, the first one in southern China.

  

  Medicago sativ/Alfalfa 苜宿草

• Since 2006, its cows have been fed by American Medicago sativ/Alfalfa(苜宿草), an excellent forage, which was firstly introduced to Chinese dairy industrial.
• In 2008, it was the only one agrarian foundation to provide to 2008 Summer Olympics.
• In 2013, it was the first dairy company to be entitled as “Carbon Footprint Label”(碳足迹) and also the only one to get the grade of “AAAA”.(AAAA级良好行为企业)
• In 2014, it was the only dairy company, given the title of “Old-Name brand”(老字号) both of Guangzhou and Guangdong this year.
• In 2015, It was the first company in Guangdong Province to pass through the test of Chinese agricultural GAP+. (中国良好农业规范一级认证)
• In 2016, it has been awarded as “National Creditable Enterprise” for thirteen years, which is the longest owner of this honor among the enterprises in Guangdong Province.(“广东省守合同重信用”企业)

Three Main Farms

Nowadays, with the development of technology, an increasing amount of capital, and the rising of commercial demand, Fengxing adds up the amount of its farm from one to three: Huamei Farm in Conghua, Zhujiang Farm in Nansha, and Xianquan Lake Farm in Zengcheng. (华美牧场、珠江牧场、仙泉湖牧场)

Huamei Farm(华美牧场)

This farm has been set in 1983 initially in Zhu County, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. Due to the city construction, Huamei Farm moved to Qinglong Foundation, covering an area of 1,600 acres in Conghua in February, 2015. Till to 2015, this farm has sent dairy products to Hong Kong for thirty-two years. It is awarded as “The Demonstrative Base of Modernized Farm”(全国农垦现代化养殖示范场) and regarded as “The First National Cow Farm” in the south of China.(国家级良种奶牛场)

Zhujiang Farm(珠江牧场)

It originates from Xinzhou Farm(新洲牧场), built in 1956. In 1999, Zhujiang Farm moved to Qinanwei(庆安围) in Zhujiang Management Area (珠江管理区二区安庆围), in the acreage of two hundred and sixty two. A new innovative production mode is called “enterprise+base+farmer”, “3+”. With this creative running mode, the output reaches to the highest amount in the south of China, up to 8.8 tons every year. With the high-level technology, the number of bacteria is less than 100,000 per milliliter from the raw milk. Each of cattle bring a benefit more than 10,000 every year. Due to its success, Zhujiang Farm has developed as a producing base of “School Milk”for public service.

Xianquan Lake Farm(仙泉湖牧场)

It is located in Yuehu Town, Xiancun County, Zengcheng, Guangzhou. It covers an area of 1,239 acres, belonging to Huamei Co. In addition, it is firstly installed “Online Monitoring System” to find out pollution resources.

Base For Dairy Producing (乳产品加工地)

Considering transportation cost, the distance to consumers and fresh staying, the producing base is located in Shatai Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. The base is only 60 miles away from Farms. With an advanced manufactory line, it provides at least 100,000 tons’ products, including pasteurized milk, UHT milk, sweetened evaporated milk, and dessert, to the market mainly in Guangdong areas every year, with an advanced manufactory line. In order to satisfy the demand of the market, a three-hundred-thousand-ton producing base is planned to be built in Shitan, Zengcheng.

Tapioca Pudding, is very popular among Indonesian. And then, this famous Indonesian dessert also gains popularity in Guangdong. Made from tapioca flour, starch, and corn flour, tapioca looks like pearls. Females love it very much as Tapioca can moisturize and soften skin. Fresh milk, fruits, and Tapioca stuffing are mixed together into Fengxing Tapioca Pudding. Aiming at convenience, Fengxing saves its pudding into a cup instead of a bowl.

Condensed Milk(炼乳)

It is a kind of dairy product which is condensed from fresh liquid milk. Compared with the fresh liquid milk, condensed milk can be stored for a longer time. In the process of isolation from the majority of water, a bottle of milk can be condensed into a quarter even up to 40% of the original one. Then, with the concentration of 40% cane sugar, a bottle of condensed comes into being. Through selling the condensed milk, Fengxing becomes a well-known brand among customers particularly the Cantonese. In 1990’s, owning to the expensive price of the fresh milk and the limited storage technology, condensed milk was regarded as a best choice. It reminds the daughter of the company founder of an interesting anecdote. At that time, it was popular for people to carry two bottles of Fengxing Milk to visit patients instead of a basket of flowers. When drinking it, the odor of milk was transmitted throughout the ward.
