Scott; Madupu, Ramana. (2004-2005). "The genome sequence of the anaerobic, sulfate-reducing bacterium Desulfovibrio vulgaris Hildenborough". Nature Biotechnology.[1]
    • This is a peer-reviewed scientific article, so it should be a reliable source. It also covers the topic in some depth, so it's helpful in establishing notability.
  • Cabrera, G.; Pérez, R.; Gómez, J. M.; Ábalos, A.; Cantero, D. (2006-07-31). "Toxic effects of dissolved heavy metals on Desulfovibrio vulgaris and Desulfovibrio sp. strains". Journal of Hazardous Materials.[2]

  • Kim, Sang D.; Kilbane, John J.; Cha, Daniel K. (1999–2003). "Prevention of Acid Mine Drainage by Sulfate Reducing Bacteria: Organic Substrate Addition to Mine Waste Piles". Environmental Engineering Science.[3]
    • This is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, so it should be a reliable source. Since it only dedicates a few sentences to the topic, it can't be used to establish notability.

Outline of proposed changes

[edit]
  • Restructure overview section to add new information.
  • Add section for sulfate-reducing bacteria, bioremediation, salt stress, etc.
  • Insert picture for bioremediation section to portray effects of heavy metals on bacteria.
