I'm looking at the Wikipedia article on the Olsen Chubbuck Bison Kill Site, as I could not find any writing anywhere. If I missed where the writing was done, let me know and I will review that too!

Lead

[edit]

The lead focuses on the discovery of the kill site. I think it would be beneficial to also mention conclusion about consumption and butchery and estimated number of people to participate in the kill. The writing for the lead is sloppy, it could use some revisions. If you wanted to you could add coordinates to the top corner of the page, as I know so wikipedia articles do this.

Overall Thoughts

[edit]

The overall structure of the article is strange. I think the sub sections on consumption, butchery and the stampede should be there own sections outside of the excavation section. Moreover, I don't like how the article is ordered. I think discovery should go after information about consumption and butchery and other stuff related to what actually happened at the kill site while it was a kill site. I also think the subsections of "Chubbuck and Olsen" and "Joe Ben Wheat..." could be combined with the section of "excavation."

This article could benefit from images. Maybe a map of where the kill site is. Maybe theres an image of the excavation site. Maybe theres an image of the sort of bison killed. Maybe theres an image of a projectile point excavated.

Directions for Future Work

Citations!!! Most of the citations are from a single 1967 article. The wikipedia article could greatly benefit from more recent citations. In particular building on the consumption and butchery sections would be interesting.
