"Back in Our Town" is a song recorded by American indie rock band Ivy from their second studio album, Apartment Life (1997). It was released alongside the rest of Apartment Life on October 6, 1997 by Atlantic Records. The track was written by Dominique Durand, Adam Schlesinger and Andy Chase while production was handled by the latter two and musician Peter Nashel.
Composition and release
[edit]"Back in Our Town" is an indie pop track, comparable to the majority of the material found on Apartment Life. James Iha also provides backup vocals. Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).
On the US edition of Apartment Life, the track serves as the album's closer, becoming available for purchase on October 6, 1997.[1] On the United Kingdom version of the album, a slightly different version of "Back in Our Town" appears, this one being a remixed edition.[2]
