Lawrence Ralph (Larry) Thompson (November 20, 1911- February 18, 1973)was an American author, public speaker, newspaper reporter and humor columnist. ^[1]

Early Life

Mr. Thompson was born in Garrison, KS in 1911. Five years later, his family moved to Stillwater, OK where his father, Dr. Carl P.(Hog) Thompson, was a professor of animal husbandry specializing in swine at Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State).
